With a tight schedule coming up, one can only expect LA Galaxy to want to win this game in high spirits for next few games.

Edson Buddle, top scorer in the MLS, will want to score more to strengthen his lead as top scorer.

San Jose Earthquake has been quite predictable with their 4-4-2 formation and they are currently in mid-table.

Hard to see anything but a LA Galaxy win. Though outwin odds are low, try –1 for better odds.

1st league match ended 1-1 with Debreceni scoring in the last minute to give the game a draw.

Debreceni needs a 0-0 draw to qualify but I doubt they will risk it.

1-0 and Debreceni will be through but risk of Levadia drawing at 1-1. This put the match in overtime and possible penalties.

As such, I predict Debreceni will go for 2 or more goals in this game and keep a possible clean sheet.

Debreceni to win at 1.40 is a bit short so go for –1 at 1.60 for a conservative bet. –1.5 or –2 if you dare.

K-Cup - GYEONGNAM FC V CHUNNAM DRAGONS

(WTF Not sure what happened. Gyeongnam was leading 2-1 in first half and lost the game 4-7? 4-7? Come on.. Guess the Koreans broke my winning streak.)

Gyeongnam FC is on form at the moment winning the last 5 games though the game with Jeju Utd was a league cup match which they won on penalties. Chunnam Dragons have been blowing hot and cold, losing the last game against FC Seoul. Before that, Chunnam Dragons was undefeated for three games. But lost three games before that.

Head-to-Head, Gyeongnam has won all the meetings against Chunnam in the past four outings. Chunnam has only won once.

Gyeongnam FC has the momentum to carry winning and I think Chunnam will want to focus on the K-League to avoid being in the bottom half the league.

Gyeongnam FC at –0.5 gives you slightly better odds at 1.975 compared to win at 1.90.

Young Lions vs Woodlands Wellington

(I should trust my instincts more. Congrats to those who took Young Lions – Young Lions as the Young Lions took an early 1-0 lead and maintained that lead throughout the 90mins.)

I hate making calls for S-League as there is lack of information about the teams. Only source you can get about the S-League is from sleague.com. As such, the call below would break my clear streak of the last four games.

The last two games between these two teams ended in a draw last season. This season saw the Young Lions defeating big teams like SAFC and Gombak at home. Woodlands has lost their last two away games against Gombak and Tampines.

Young Lions blamed exhaustion for losing the few matches and feel that they can return to full strength today. Woodlands have Abdelhadi Laakkad returning from injury but doubt he will be full match fit.

I see a Young Lions win but at 1.66 may not be worth it. YL-YL or Draw-YL maybe more worth it.

But I am staying away from this match and you should too.

D.C. United vs LA Galaxy

D.C United just play a game two days ago against Seattle Sounders and lost by a goal at the very last minute.

LA Galaxy will come into this game rested and the return of Landon Donovan would see LA Galaxy with better passing than their previous game losing game against New England.

LA Galaxy needs to return to prove its dominance home and away, and this is the best time to get into the rhythm.

LA Galaxy to win at 2.15 is of great value. If LA Galaxy gets its football act together, it wouldn’t be a surprise that they will clear handicap of –1.5.

Austria U19 v England U19

If you are suffering from post World Cup withdrawal system, there is the Europe U19 championship for you to get back in.

England senior team sucked at the World Cup but the U19 team is totally different.

You can go for England U19 win, but I think there is more value for Over 2.5 today at 1.80.

Austria U19 team has been very aggressive in front of goals and this has lead to defence being suspect. Four out of the last sixth match for Austria U19 has been over 2.5.

England U19 have 3 out of 6 game over 2.5.

A good start for England would prove well for the team as France and Netherland will be a tougher challenge for the U19 three lions.

Sanfrecce Hiroshima vs Yokohama F.Marinos

Sanfreccee Hiroshima was trashed 0-5 by Cerezo Osaka in the mid week match after a defender was red-carded at the end of the first half. It was a very disappointing result which Sanfreccee would want to erase.

The only way to do it is to win against Yokohama F.Marinos today.

Matches between Sanfreccee Hiroshima and Yokohama F.Marions have always been over 2.5 except for 1 match in 2005.

So for those who can’t decide on the full-time result, over 2.5 at evens (2.0) sounds like a value bet today.

Kashima Antlers vs Kawasaki Frontale

It is a rarity to have Kashima Antlers to win odds near the evens mark but they are 1.90 to win against Kawasaki Frontale today.

Kawasaki-F played to a goalless draw in the last game at home to Omiya Ardija and Kashima struggled to a 1-0 win against newly promoted Shonan Bellmare.

The hot weather at Omiya will have an effect on Kawasaki-F players and another away match will have the players proving their mettle. According to reports, Kawasaki would have to depend on their inexperience 1st choice goalkeeper so this is something which Kashima will look to exploit. Give ball of –1 or –1.5 looks attractive here.

Kashima will want to take home advantage to leap over Shimizu who are playing a derby with Jubilo Iwata and that game is expected to end in a draw.

However, given the odds, Kashima Antlers at 1.90 is good value.
